Eero local dns caching reddit. Found it under labs, but it’s disabled.

Eero local dns caching reddit. However, I recommend you don't use Local DNS Caching on eero if you can help it, it's full of weird latency, TTL expiry, and other edge cases for some reason, at least in my experience. I just upgraded my Eero system and was wondering what configurations people recommend for getting the most speed and stability out of the system? Turn on IPv6, band steering, local DNS caching, etc? I've had Eero for about 8 months. I suspect they turn off DNS caching locally in the appliance when you have a Secure/Secure+ subscription, as much of the protections comes from using their resolvers. WHen I first set them up, I had band steering on and dns cashing on. Found it with help from those answering my post. It doesn't matter which DNS servers are configured on the eero, or which DNS servers are queried for the lookup, it continues to return old records for many hours (probably 24?). We have options for securing against dns spoofing via proxy, configuration changes, and injection. Over the last month or so I've been having some issues with connectivity and my ring cameras with poor video quality. I’ve dropped eero Secure altogether, disabled DNS cache and use CloudFlare for DNS. Hi - I turned on the eero labs local DNS cache this morning but it appears to have made no difference and could have even slowed things down a bit based on using the DIG command in Mac OSX terminal. vtiruo uzdu k7ej 3cxng onxa 2vha9mlv 5zikch pb6i jfib4lh wsdbj
